Citing Leading Learning

Leading Learning shifted from a static publication to a continuously updated, living document when it shifted from the guardianship of the Canadian Library Association to Canadian School Libraries. Here is some guidance in citing Leading Learning.

Cite the Leading Learning Website:

Canadian School Libraries (CSL). 2020.  “Leading Learning:  Standards of Practice for School Library Learning Commons in Canada.” Available:  http://llsop.canadianschoollibraries.ca

Cite the Print/PDF Version:

The PDF version of Leading Learning is no longer supported. It is preferable to cite the website, following the instructions above. If you are referring specifically to the original PDF or print version of Leading Learning, however, here’s how.

Canadian Library Association (CLA). 2014. Leading Learning:  Standards of Practice for School Library Learning Commons in Canada. Available:  http://llsop.canadianschoollibraries.ca/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/llsop.pdf

Reference in Text:

(Canadian School Libraries, 2018) – unless specifically quoting from the PDF then – (Canadian Library Association, 2014, p.3)
