In 2016 the Canadian Ministers of Education articulated six broad global competencies closely aligned with prioritized provincial/territorial competency frameworks. These are Critical Thinking and Problem Solving, Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship, Learning to Learn/Self-Aware & Self-Directed, Collaboration, Communication, Global Citizenship and Sustainability.
